The pool rules were so strict that we decided not to use it, just to avoid more trouble, and they wouldn’t turn on the sauna at all during our stay. The doormen treated us badly from the moment we arrived. We ended up leaving a day early because we were afraid of getting hit with another fine and not having the money to pay it. The condo charged us an extremely excessive fine of 1,100 reais because a friend of ours got sick on the balcony. They didn’t even seem concerned about what had happened, they just sent us a bill for that outrageous amount. Stay away. I’d advise against renting here so you don’t go through what happened to us on our vacation. People from our town won’t be going back there.
