Chalés e Suites Manacá

The upper suite was cozy, well set up, had a lovely view, and offered lots of contact with nature at a good price. For anyone wanting independence, a place near the beach and away from town, it’s perfect. We loved it, and host Marcelo was very attentive. Just know that more than two people makes it feel really cramped, and there’s no covered area or parking.

I never even stayed there. We went in person, and the cleaning lady was super friendly and gave us the owner's WhatsApp number. He only replied, “I'm busy,” then said nothing else and never got back to us. You can already tell they’re not exactly known for being friendly.

We put together a great itinerary, with beautiful beaches in the area, about 30 minutes from trindade and 45 minutes from Paraty. The chalets are great too. We chose one with a kitchen, which helped a lot, but keep in mind the place is isolated. We couldn’t find restaurants, markets, or bakeries nearby. A kiosk on the beach was our saving grace, so come prepared and you won’t run into trouble. Marcelo was very kind to me. I think he lives here and prefers to keep to himself, without bothering guests or making contact. I’d booked Thursday to Saturday but only managed to arrive Friday because of an unexpected travel problem. He let me stay until Sunday to make up for it, which I thought was really nice of him. We stayed in the upper chalet, where the kitchen is in a separate area with its own entrance. I thought that was a great idea because it keeps food smells out of the room. The suites are spacious, airy, and bright, with a charming balcony overlooking the mountains and trees. It’s very peaceful, a great place to unwind and get away from the city. Wake up to birdsong and feel closer to nature. Parking fits two cars, and you can also park on the inn's quiet, safe street.
