Greensoul Eco Hostel

Felipe is such a kind host, attentive, responsible, and welcoming. You can feel the care in every corner of this loving, welcoming hostel, and I highly recommend it. Along with shared rooms, there’s a charming private little cabin with a small balcony and an incredible view of the mountains. The hostel is surrounded by the abundance of the Atlantic Forest, with fruit and medicinal plants everywhere. The fresh air fills your lungs and calms your mind. There’s also an easy trail to a wonderful waterfall about 100 meters from the hostel. It’s a perfect place to slow down and connect with the beauty of simple things!

We loved the stay. Everyone was incredibly welcoming, and the kitchen turned into a party.

The waterfall on site was impeccable, and we absolutely loved it. It’s a wonderful, peaceful place, and our cabin was fantastic, clean, and organized. Felipe gave us an incredible welcome. We’ll definitely be back.

DANGEROUS PLACE To get there, you have to travel about 3 km along a dirt road. If it rains, you’re in trouble. There’s a stream, but the path to it is poorly maintained and unsafe in places, with a fallen handrail. The kitchen is shared, so you cook with other people around. Some may find that a good way to get to know others, but others might find it a bit unusual. The people looking after us weren’t employees, but people exchanging work for their stay. One of them couldn’t even tell us how far away the nearest beach was. The cabin is small, and the steep stairs to the upper floor have no guardrail. If you get up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom, you could fall. The mattress is also poor quality and sits on the floor. When I went to bed, I felt something on my arm. I got up and found a LACRAIA in my bed. I killed it, then another appeared. I called the attendant and said I wanted to cancel. She said it’s rural there and bugs show up. I told her a bug is one thing, but a lacraia in the bed is another. I asked to cancel, and she said I had to deal with Booking. I called Booking, and they said it was up to the inn. The inn then got back to me and said they wouldn’t refund me. I asked if they could at least refund one day, but got nowhere. I arrived Friday 19/01/24 at 18:00 and left at 20:00, after just two hours. I went to central Ubatuba, a 35-minute trip, to find a decent place to sleep. It was peak season, so finding another place was a struggle and I paid a lot. My loss was R$ 575,00, plus R$700,00 at the other place.
