Hotel Canoeiro

My husband and I stayed for three days and loved everything about this wonderful inn. It's about 50 meters from Lázaro beach, and the cozy suite had air conditioning and a minibar. Breakfast was delicious, and seu Jesué and Neusa were so helpful. The stay exceeded our expectations, and we'd recommend the inn to everyone. Can't wait to make this trip again 😎

Before booking, I came here to read the reviews. They were all positive, and now I'm adding another good one for Pousada Canoeiro/ Hotel Peres Canoeiro. My husband and I loved our time in Ubatuba. We arrived late on the first day and the owner, Jesué, welcomed us warmly and was very helpful. He's the famous Jesué from the reviews, and such a lovely, friendly person. He gave us tips and told us about his father, “Peres Canoeiro.” He even taught me how to make the delicious strawberry jam served at breakfast. The inn is simple, but I loved its beachy feel. It's extremely organized and clean, so the simplicity actually works well. The TV was good, the air conditioning was great, and the simple balcony facing the street was nice. The street is very busy, though, since the inn is just steps from Lázaro beach. Getting an Uber around town wasn't easy for us. We had to try the public bus, because even people with cars face exhausting traffic throughout the city. Plan ahead for getting around. If possible, arrange directly with a nice Uber driver who can pick you up. Breakfast was delicious, and Neuza takes care of everything with such care. I highly recommend the inn, and we'd definitely like to return another time.

The rooms are excellent, and the beaches in the area are beautiful. It’s a lovely setting, and I’d recommend it to anyone visiting this region.

We felt right at home here, thanks to Sr. Jesué, who was so friendly and helpful. The pousada keeps things simple but does the basics well: the TV worked, the air conditioning cooled the room, and the shower had hot water. Breakfast was simple and tasty, with bread, cake, juice and other food. The butter and strawberry jam were the best part, and the woman serving breakfast was very attentive. Praia do Lázaro is only about 30 meters away. It’s clean, shallow, has small waves, a wide stretch of sand and a good choice of kiosks. It didn’t get dirty and crowded like Praia Grande and Tenório. From there, Domingas Dias is about a 15-minute walk along the sand. That beach is one of the best in Ubatuba, with soft sand, clean water, no crowds or kiosks, and gentle waves that don’t pull you out to sea. It was lovely for swimming. I’d recommend both beaches and the pousada.
