The hotel restaurant is open to the public, and since the hotel seemed to offer a higher standard, I decided to give it a try. I ordered the eggplant lasagna, and it was awful. It was only warm and clearly hadn't been made fresh for serving, probably frozen. The texture didn't even resemble eggplant, and both the presentation and taste reminded me of frozen food. That's unacceptable for a restaurant at a hotel aiming for higher standards. I don't recommend it. I wrote to the hotel about my disappointment, but they never replied.

We liked the quiet, remote setting, though this isn't downtown Ubatuba and there aren't any gift shops nearby. The neighborhood was interesting, with a grocery store within walking distance, and the beach was just a few blocks away. The pool and hot tub were lovely. Food at the hotel was amazing, especially the seafood dinners, which we highly recommend. The breakfast buffet was varied, fresh, and plentiful. Graciela at the front desk was incredibly kind and helpful, and spoke English.

At check-in, staff didn't know which floor our rooms were on. Cleaning staff arrived 2 hours after the scheduled finish time, left us without fresh towels, and didn't clean the toilet or our cups. The internet and Wi-Fi were awful, and the TV service never worked. The pool and hot tub were dirty for 2 out of our 4 days, and the hot tub was never hot. We moved the beers out of the fridge for 2 days to make room, and then they tried charging us for unopened beers, saying they were bad even though the hotel sells them from fridges.

Close to the beach, with a lovely setting. The roof terrace is beautiful, and the bar service and drinks were excellent.

The rooms feel cramped, and there's only one complimentary power outlet in an inconvenient spot. The location and customer service were poor.
