I booked a stay at Mini Chalés Madeira Beach in Ubatuba/SP through Booking.com on 24/12/2025, for 31/12/2025 to 02/01/2026, and paid R$ 540,00 by credit card. I received an email confirming the booking, with the property details and the owner's phone number. When I contacted the owner, she first said there was no reservation in the Booking.com system and claimed the account belonged to the previous owner of the property. Later, she said she did have an active Booking.com account but didn’t know how to configure the platform, and told me to cancel. She said she could only book directly, for R$ 1.000,00, almost twice what I had agreed to pay through the platform. Absurd. I filed a complaint with Booking.com, but there still hasn’t been a solution. Neither the owner nor the platform resolved it, so my family and I couldn’t make the trip as planned. I have recordings and records of all the conversations with both the owner and Booking.com. Since those dates were in high demand, I couldn’t find another place at a similar price. We used a third-party platform specifically to avoid problems, but unfortunately that didn’t prevent this from happening.

Talita was so sweet and attentive, taking care with every detail, and the fresh breakfast each morning was delicious. The chalet is charming and well equipped, with kitchen utensils, a stove, and a fridge. It’s about 1 km from the beach and close to markets, restaurants, trails to waterfalls, and the wonderful ruins. Set among peaceful nature, it was quiet at night. The room had air conditioning, a very comfortable bed, and everything was really clean. Thanks for the lovely hospitality, Talita. This has become my favorite place, and we’ll be back.

The owners, a very kind and attentive couple, made us feel welcome. I was pleasantly surprised by the rustic chalet tucked into nature. It was peaceful, cozy, safe, and impeccably clean. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. I plan to return, and recommend it.

Talita is such a friendly host and pays attention to all the details. The breakfast is a whole event, so filling it can get in the way of lunch, haha. If you’re after peace in the middle of nature, this is the spot. Everything was wonderful, and we’ll definitely come back.

We stayed in May and had a wonderful time. The hosts were welcoming, friendly, and polite. It’s quiet and close to nature and Praia da Lagoinha. Breakfast was excellent, and I loved the cakes. I also liked the chalet’s practical layout. The kitchen, bedroom, and bathrooms were all spotless and smelled fresh. Great value, and I’ll definitely return.
