The room and bathroom in apartment 8, on the first floor, were spacious, clean, and free of musty smells. Everything worked, and housekeeping was fine. Breakfast didn't have a huge selection, but what was there was tasty and enough for us. Vanessa, I think that was her name, deserves 10 stars. She worked reception and the kitchen, was always smiling and helpful, and seemed to do a bit of everything. The stay was very good in general, but the night receptionist was extremely rude and spoke to guests aggressively. He should be coached by the owners or given some training on how to deal with people. We picked up our trash when leaving the beach, but left a few cans behind because we'd seen people collecting things while we were there. He called us out and said he'd give us a bag the next day so we could pick up all our trash. We explained that we'd only left the cans, but he still made a fuss. On Friday night, some people from our group went out, while my family stayed at the inn and ordered pizza. I checked whether we could use the kitchen's dishes, since we'd been told that was okay when we arrived. He said yes, but in a harsh, commanding tone, and added that I had to wash them. Washing them wasn't the problem, the way he spoke was. There were 20 of us spread between this inn and nearby ones because we couldn't all fit here. We went out together but didn't always come back together, partly because it was hard to find an Uber due to traffic. The receptionist asked a couple of friends whether my family would be long, since we were the only ones who hadn't returned and he wanted to shower. Our friends called to ask us about it. When we got back and rang the intercom, we still waited outside for a while before the gate opened. He was asleep on the sofa. The inn had never told us there was a required return time for nights out, so we didn't think that was okay.

I used to think I might stay here someday, but now I won't set foot there. Four children were standing in the hot sun for 15 minutes waiting to board a boat, while several unused umbrellas were available. They told an employee to come close the umbrellas because we weren't guests. That was selfish and showed no empathy. I come to Ubatuba every year, and I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

The room was spacious, and the bathroom and parking were okay. Breakfast was satisfying, and they even make tapioca and scrambled or fried eggs to order. We paid extra for a sea view, but there was a catch: rooms 01 and 02 are on the ground floor, where you lose privacy and can only see the pool and parking lot. The first floor would be better if you want an unobstructed sea view. The mattress was hard as a rock, so we didn't sleep well. The bedding also seemed to give us some kind of allergic reaction and made us itch.

I've stayed in four different suites, and every one was immaculate. Highly recommend!
