Pousada Azul Marinho Ubatuba

The pool was spacious, clean, and pleasantly warm, though I had to get out when evening came because no lights came on. The inn is well located, and the receptionists are friendly, but there’s very little guest service. I stayed over Carnival, from February 12 to 16, 2026. Our room was plain but cozy, with a comfortable bed, clean towels and sheets, air conditioning, a TV, and a good shower with a stall. The tiny fridge could barely fit a large water bottle. The sink and toilet were small and basic, and there was nowhere to put soap or shampoo in the shower except on the floor or its edges. The furniture was chipped, the paint was peeling and stained, and there was a small hole in the ceiling that leaked when it rained. We kept finding stink bug nymphs in the room. Even after catching more than seven, they kept appearing. Two baby geckos came in, probably after the bugs. We accidentally killed one and managed to shoo the other outside. The inn looks poorly maintained inside and out, with faded paint, holes, stains, dirty-looking decorations, and cobwebs. It gives a neglected first impression, though it wasn’t dirty and the floors were swept. You get used to it and find some comfort. Breakfast was very weak. Simple would have been fine, but the food quality wasn’t good, and my girlfriend felt sick one day. That really needs work. With a proper renovation, including the rooms, this could be one of the best options nearby. Given my circumstances, it was still worth staying because I couldn’t choose a better hotel or inn.
