Pousada Guaiamu Ubatuba

We booked three rooms for five nights, and I'd absolutely recommend the pousada. The pool was fantastic and very clean, and the rooms were spacious and spotless. Dona Meire, who owns the place, and her employee Sergio were incredibly warm and friendly, a thousand out of a thousand! Breakfast was sensational for us, with juices, cheese, scrambled eggs, bread, honey, cakes, and more. The location was great too. I highly recommend it.

The service was good, and the place was comfortable, with a minibar and air conditioning. Breakfast was decent, though it starts a bit late at 8 a.m. because of the opening hours of the city's bakeries. The two downsides were the wifi, which barely worked during our stay, and the smell of cat urine by the entrance. I think the pousada's mascot might be behind that.

Our room was comfortable, with a large bathroom, a big bed, and air conditioning. The owners were very polite and helpful, and breakfast was really good. The area around the pousada is mostly houses and other pousadas, with unpaved, rather potholed roads. Restaurants, bars, and supermarkets are a few kilometers away by car. Good value for the money, and I recommend it.

The place is excellent and close to the beach. It's simple, but Dona Meire, the owner, and her assistant Sr. Sérgio are so friendly that they exceeded my expectations. Two drawbacks: parking is outside, and there aren't many restaurant options in the Toninhas area at night.
