Pousada Ubatuba Paradise

It’s just a three minute walk to the beach, and the area is very quiet if you like a peaceful stay. No loud music, you can fall asleep listening to the birds. There’s no breakfast, so you make your own meals, but it was worth it.

We were warmly welcomed by Tatiana, who gave us all the information we needed and made us feel at ease. The view of the forest is special, and the cooler nights made for a pleasant sleep. The inn is being refurbished and doesn’t serve breakfast, but that didn’t bother us. We made our own breakfast and snacks, which is normal for inns in Ubatuba, and nearby restaurants serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I recommend Tempero Mágico. The place is simple, but everything works. Our room was spacious and well equipped, with two beds, cushions, pillows, a wardrobe, microwave, minibar, electric kettle, cutlery, pitcher, thermos, and kitchen sink. It’s especially handy for families who want to bring electric pans and make home cooked food. There’s a large shared area with a pool. Parking is outside on the street, which is common around here, and we had no safety problems. Cameras cover the inn, including the outdoor areas. Some guests live there full time and were very friendly, including a lovely older woman whose name I can’t remember. It’s a five minute walk to Praia das Toninhas, and close to Praia Grande, Praia da Enseada, and a bus stop.

A really pleasant, private place, with the beach right in front and great facilities. The buildings are older, but very clean, and work well as a base for a beach trip. It’s on a quiet dead end street.

The service here is a solid 10, and you can get a good lunch about 100 meters away. If you want somewhere cozy and quiet near the beach, this is a great fit.
