Valparaiso Flats

The pool was wonderful, and even though the nearby beach had good and bad days because of the rain, we still got to enjoy it. I loved the apartment. It looked just like the photos, and the ground-floor unit worked perfectly for me. I visited the lovely beaches of Domingas Dias, Caçandoca and Lagoinha.

We’ll definitely come back. The place was what we wanted, clean and well organized. There are quite a few rules, but they help people from different backgrounds live together. The apartment’s power only works while the card is in its holder, so taking it out switches everything off. That wasn’t an issue for us: if you want to go out and leave someone in the apartment, just enter again with the password and leave the tagged card with the person staying there. The location is good, but there are lots of flats in the same area, so we could have stayed somewhere else. We had a bad experience and regretted booking here. There are only two outlets, so charging our phones was a struggle: we had to turn off either the TV or microwave. Everything costs extra, and when you leave, the key switches everything off, so you can’t leave a phone charging. There’s a pet fee, the shower barely runs, and basic appliances are missing. They wouldn’t refund our stay even though we weren’t using it, so when we wanted to leave, we had to stay. The woman we dealt with looked grumpy. The pool is very, very small. I wouldn’t recommend it.

The calm beach is just a few steps away and is great for kids. The building is new, and although the kitchen only has the basics, they’re enough.
