Platto da Neve

The warm water in the shower and tub was lovely, and the linens and towels were clean and smelled fresh. We also enjoyed two peaceful days and the beautiful view from Cabana 4, Platto da Neve. Getting there takes some planning: it’s at least 30 minutes from the center, the unpaved road is winding, and there aren’t any shops nearby, so bring all your supplies. The listing mentioned basics like salt, but we couldn’t find any and had to borrow some from the cabin above. The cleaning could have been better. There was dust, the bathroom seemed to have had only a quick clean, and there was even a bottle cap beside the hot tub. Although the tub heated well, we couldn’t use the jets because a strong gas smell came up when we tried to turn them on. The bathroom drain also often sent up a bad smell, so we had to keep the door shut. Some of the cabin floor is coming loose and has been covered with rugs, which could be a tripping hazard. With better cleaning, repairs, and a check that the listed supplies are actually there, the stay could be even better.

The cabin was just what my fiancé and I wanted: somewhere to unwind and be surrounded by nature. Raissa and Roberto were quick to help with all our questions, and we’d happily come back. It was cloudy and cold, around 6-10°C, but we loved our stay. The cabin was well set up for the weather, with a heated sheet, a lovely warm bed, and a fireplace. The hot tub and shower were warm too.

The view was wonderful, and the place felt incredibly cozy. We had a small issue with the heater, but the hosts came right over to light it for us. I’ll definitely be back.
