Pousada Flor de Tuna

The central location made getting around town easy, with restaurants, markets, and other options nearby. The inn is very clean, organized, and well cared for, and our room was a good size with a comfortable bed and a powerful shower. We visited when the weather was pleasant and not very cold. Heating is only provided by the air conditioner, so we couldn’t tell whether it would be enough during the region’s harsher winter spells. One thing to keep in mind is that the inn faces the main road, with vehicles passing constantly. We stayed in the room farthest from the road, at the back of the property, and could still hear cars at night when lying in bed. If you’re a light sleeper or want complete quiet, that may matter. Breakfast was plentiful, but we missed having more variety. We stayed five nights and the menu was exactly the same every day. More options would have made the experience better.

The hosts welcomed us with so much care and attention, and we had a lovely stay. Breakfast was tasty and varied, with that home-cooked, grandma’s-house feel. The suites were comfortable and smelled fresh, and the cleanliness especially stood out. We stayed in a suite overlooking the garden and really liked it. The central location also made getting around easy. We’ll definitely be back!

It feels more like being welcomed into a family retreat than checking into a place to stay. Pousada Flor de Tuna has that warm, familiar atmosphere, like your grandmother's house, and the feeling stays with you after you leave. You can see the owners' care in the thoughtfully prepared spaces and in the gentle, attentive way they welcome each guest. It's the kind of hospitality that reaches beyond physical comfort. I left feeling grateful, and already wanting to return.

Right in the center of town, this pousada is a great base for enjoying Urubici's attractions and getting a good night's rest afterward. The couple who run it were so friendly and gave us wonderful service. We'll definitely come back to Urubici and Pousada Flor de Tuna.
