We spent four days here as three couples, and the warmth of owners Martha and Antírio made us feel right at home. They shared lots of tips about local attractions, and took wonderful care of their guests. The spacious Casa de Pedra was beautifully decorated, with thoughtful details throughout. The owners make the wood crafts and other decorative pieces themselves. The house was always warm from the fireplace or wood stove, and everything served at breakfast was made there, with nothing industrialized. This was our first stay at a rural inn, and we’d happily come back. It’s comfortable, well located, and somewhere you could settle in for quite a while. Highly recommend it.

I left disappointed and wouldn’t stay here again. When I arrived, I had to wait because the reservation records had the wrong date. It was very cold during my visit, and the only small electric heater barely warmed the room. We asked for another, but that still wasn’t enough, and the power kept cutting out. Breakfast had no fruit at all, not even a slice of papaya or juice. The electric shower had a weak flow and was very poor, and the water in the hot tub looked dark, almost muddy.

The owners were real sweethearts, and I loved the place. It was cozy and clean, with distinctive decor. I’ll definitely come back.
