Hotel Monte Carlo

The hotel is being renovated, but I had a good room with air conditioning and a minibar. The bed was comfortable, and both the shower and breakfast were good. I stayed in room 212.

The location is great, everything was impeccably clean, and the staff were always ready to help. We had a large pet with us and had no problems at all. We'll be back.

Most of the staff were willing to help, but the hotel's facilities were disappointing, with leaks in the building and rooms. The shower in room 314 barely let any water out. I reported it at reception and asked them to treat it urgently because I had to leave for an event, but they didn't fix it then. When I got back, they said they'd changed the shower, though it still wasn't very good. I was disappointed. A decent shower is the least a hotel should provide. I wouldn't return or recommend it.

I was in town for work, attending a course over two weekends in a row, and don't usually leave negative reviews. The second weekend, I was turned away from breakfast when I arrived at the dining room because on Sundays it's only served from 7:30. That's absurd when many guests are there for work and their day starts at 8:00. I found it disrespectful, especially since breakfast was included in what I paid for the stay. I won't return or recommend it. The first weekend had already been rough. The air conditioning remote had no batteries, and the shower wouldn't heat up. I asked about the shower on WhatsApp that night, but didn't get a reply until morning. I'd just arrived tired after a 10-hour trip in 9-degree weather and had to teach all day for the next two days. The stay started with me physically and emotionally worn out.
