Yellow Hostel Praia da Costa

I had a terrible experience. I booked 45 days ahead because I planned a holiday trip to Vila Velha with my 6-year-old son. I spoke with Sh Eloiza on zap, and she offered to let me pay in three installments. After I paid the first one, she stopped answering my messages. I went ahead and paid the second, trusting the positive comments here, but still got no reply. On the travel day, we took the train from Belo Horizonte to Vitória. When we reached the hostel, nobody was there to receive us, and she wouldn’t answer the phone. I waited outside for a long time with my child and our bags on the ground. A guest came by with a key and called her to ask if we could wait in the living room, but she said no. After a long wait, she finally showed up, having been at the beach. She spoke rudely and intimidated me, saying she had a serious problem, then asked my 6-year-old if he was going to solve it for her. She told me there was no room for us because she had also rented out the room I’d booked to someone else. She asked a woman staying in another room, who had a spare bed, to let us spend the night. The woman agreed but seemed very unhappy about it and treated us badly. We slept there, then left early the next morning to find somewhere else. Luckily, I found a great apartment for rent at hotel Itapuã. My bags had been left scattered in the living room the whole time, with no care taken over them. I asked her to cancel the booking, but she wouldn’t discuss it. She violently unfolded a wooden deck chair and nearly hurt my child’s foot while he was just saying goodbye. She kept the money and went to sleep in the chair. I’ve never felt so humiliated. This was the worst place I’ve experienced, and I regret meeting this woman and staying here. The good thing was finding a lovely place at hotel Itapuã, at a good price, with a kind and caring host. I lost a little money but gained a great friend. I don’t recommend hostel yelon. The place was very dirty, and Sh Eloiza was intrusive, intimidating, mistreated my child, and scammed me. She’s consumed by greed.

Yellow Hostel is really cozy, and you can genuinely feel at home there. The owner is also such a kind, polite, and attentive person, always treating everyone with lots of care. We had a great experience and highly recommend it!

We had a lovely welcome from Heloisa, who looked after us like a mother. It’s a peaceful place in a great location, with suites and individual rooms available.
