Transamerica Fit Vitória Praia de Camburi

The staff were friendly, the reception was very polite, and the waitresses at the local restaurant “Guest” were kind and helpful. The restaurant itself was average, with fresh vegetables, a clean dining area, and comfortable seats. It's a first-line hotel, with a lovely beach and the ocean across the street, and a good spot for families with kids. The airport was about a five-minute drive away in light traffic, including stop signals. I could see a bit of Baía do Espírito Santo (ocean) from my window, which made me happy, but after a long flight I wanted to sleep. My regular room was small and had no balcony. The window lock was broken, so it wouldn't seal out bus and car noise. Even with a tight window, you'd hear traffic. Noise also came through the room door facing the alleyway, with neighbors passing and doors opening and closing. The walls are thin, so you hear neighbors talking and laughing. The hotel was clean and orderly in the reception, elevators, and alleyways, but my room wasn't. Despite a “safe and clean protocol” notice on the handle, there was dust and a long hair on the toilet cover. When cleaning isn't done often, the top shelf needs attention too. There was no drinking water in the room and no indication that the tap water was safe to drink, so bring your own refreshments. Wi-Fi exists, but the room signal was very poor. If you need to work there, bring your own 4G data; smartphone coverage was weak too, only 3G, and I had to keep my phone by the window. The Smart TV was just local channels. I'm not sure why, since the Wi-Fi was barely usable. You can apparently watch movies from USB, though I didn't try it; there was an option in the menu. For me, this hotel was too noisy. I'd prefer somewhere calmer with better sound insulation. Thanks for reading, and stay safe.

The location and the good shower were the only positives for me. The slow, unfriendly check-in made a poor start, and the room had thin pillows and very thin sheets, with the mattress showing through along with stains. There was no mattress pad. I woke up with bed bug bites on my legs and back. The TV was old with only a few local channels, the safe was stuck in lock mode, and breakfast was basic. I can only assume the location is why this place has a three-star rating.
