Even when the weather turns, there are plenty of things to do, and the place itself is beautiful. What makes it so unusual, though, is the community: everyone seems to care about you as a person and about looking after this special property and bay. The staff often knows what you need before you ask, and the service was beyond what we've had at any five-star resort. This is the most special place we've ever stayed. Protect it at all costs. Can't recommend it enough!

The cabins sit right on the beach and were cleaned every day, and the food was amazing. We went with our two children and had such a good time. There's a lot to do in this remote spot, from fishing and deserted island adventures to blue hole trips, bike rides, hot tubes, scuba diving, and more. You don't have to plan excursions ahead: each evening they ask what you'd like to do the next day. The staff looked after us so well. We can't wait to return.

The price was a big investment for all of us, but after five days at Small Hope with friends, I'd say it was worth every penny. The staff were engaged, wonderful to be around, and seemed to love their work. We dove nearly every day with guides who kept safety front and center. A couple of dives felt a little disappointing, with not much sea life, but the blue hole dive and my first hammerhead more than made up for that. We also had a blast biking to Captain Bills blue hole for a freshwater swim, and kayaked through the mangroves one morning. The food was delicious, and the chefs made sure I had something at every meal as a vegan. We had an unforgettable adventure and hope to come back someday. I couldn't recommend this resort more. Thanks Small Hope!!

The rooms are very simple, but they have bug sprays and sunscreens available. The food was tasty, and they worked meals around the adventure schedule, so we never worried about being late for lunch or early for breakfast. Staff were cheerful and helpful, and the service was exceptional. I came for the tours to West Side National Park, then found there was much more to do. Each evening, we planned the next day's activities in a little personal session. We only stayed three days, nowhere near enough for all the options: beach and reef snorkeling, diving or getting certified, fishing, kayaking, paddle boarding, visiting west side, village rides to the blue hole, trails, a batik tour, reef books in the small library, and games in the game room. It had a summer-camp feel, with busy days and dinner gatherings where we chatted with new friends.

We spent most of our time in the water or moving from one hammock to another, swimming, snorkeling, and floating down the mangrove-lined creek. The dive crew even offered to take us across the bay to a small island for a few hours with a cooler of snacks and a beach umbrella, which felt like heaven. I trusted them with my first dive and with snorkeling alongside sharks. They're kind, thoughtful, and know their diving and how to preserve the natural beauty of the sea and the surrounding area. Lunch and dinner were a daily gathering with the other guests and crew. Cocktail hour was a favorite, especially when the person behind the bar brought my first pick from the inventive drinks menu, Denis VIP was the best. Meals were delicious and home cooked, announced by the chef and applauded by everyone. The cabins are clean and comfortable on a gorgeous crescent beach, and the staff made us feel like family. It's relaxed, unplugged, and encourages conversation without pressure or the usual "All Inclusive" noise. A little Gem, a magical place. Thank you to Jeff and the staff for welcoming us into your world.
