Pineapple Fields

The bed was genuinely comfortable, with a good mattress and pillows, and we slept well. We also appreciated the in-unit washer and dryer and full kitchen, which we mostly used to keep our adult drinks cold. The one-bedroom unit was a comfortable size for two. The property is quiet and tropical, with lush trees and buildings arranged for privacy. From the large balcony, the outdoor furniture was comfortable for eating or lounging, and the views were beautiful. Tippy's Restaurant and Bar is right across the street on the beach. But the unit was filthy when we checked in. There were crumbs, old food stains and bits, dust balls, and long hairs throughout, including in the bathroom and on the living room couch. The toilet had a black ring around its inside upper rim, as though it hadn't been cleaned in months. If I could see it, surely the cleaner could too. Based on what we found, it seemed the place might not have been properly cleaned in a year or so. If clean, modern surroundings aren't a priority, this could be a gem; if you're not willing to clean it yourself, look elsewhere. We still enjoyed the stay, but only after spending extra money to have the unit cleaned properly. Owners and managers, please get the cleaning standards in order.

The pool is lovely if you want a break from the beach, and Tippys is literally across the road for a meal by the water. We found our Caribbean heaven at Pineapple Fields in Eleuthera. The condo was beautiful, clean, and modern, with a veranda and rocking chair, and the grounds are well maintained. Pineapple Fields forever, with apologies to The Beatles!

A restaurant and gorgeous beach are right across the street, so the location worked out great. The units are very spacious, with a full kitchen stocked with pots, pans, and utensils, plus a large bedroom, bathroom, and complete living room. We picked up groceries and cooked several meals ourselves.

It's a great place to stay if you're planning to explore the island. The grounds are beautiful, the pool was great, and having generators was a real bonus. The place was well stocked, and the housekeeping staff were delightful when they had to deal with all the sand we accidentally tracked inside. Right by Tippy's, our favorite restaurant on the whole island.
