The first impression was wow: a lovely boutique style one-bedroom home with a spacious living room and a well-equipped kitchen. There were useful basics like snacks, herbs and spices, coffee, tea, and even a bottle of wine, plus replacement drinking water whenever we ran out. Everything needed to cook was there. The bedroom was a good size, with a very comfortable bed, pillows, and linen. The bathroom had a shower in the deepest bath I've ever seen, a toilet, basin, spare toilet rolls and soap, and a safe for valuables. Plenty of towels were provided for the shower and pool or beach, along with beach chairs and an umbrella. Swimming flippers were brought over when we asked. Outside, there was a table and chairs, gas BBQ, private pool with sun loungers, and a big comfy day bed. The pool was cleaned regularly. A great little coffee shop that also sold gifts was just a one minute walk away. We felt chilled throughout the stay. Around the garden we spotted lizards, birds including the odd hummingbird, chickens, and a resident cat who was very friendly and visited every day. The cockerel announced itself all day from about 4am, and a random dog came to cool off in the pool now and then. There are lots of local beaches to explore, and Twin Coves was our favorite. A supermarket, off licence, and bars were all within walking distance. We had a great time and would definitely come back. 10/10 all day long. A few things for the owner to address: both air con units struggled to cool and dripped a lot, with the kitchen unit dripping onto the hob. A shower riser rail and handset would let you stand on the flat part of the bath instead of having to lie against the wall. Sharper knives would help with food prep, and more clothes storage would be useful, though we managed. These issues were easily sorted and didn't affect my review.

The welcome book was really useful, with places to see and directions that were spot on. We could walk to downtown and a coffee shop, and the supplied beach equipment and snorkel gear were a great bonus. Our first Eleuthera trip went perfectly, thanks to Patrick, who answered all our questions and made sure we were taken care of. Squires Estates exceeded our expectations, and its Governor's Harbor location was ideal. Because of unforeseen issues, we were fortunate to stay at the Belmont House instead. It was a wonderful property, with beautiful sunsets from the upper decks. We'd definitely return to Squires Estates if we visit this beautiful island again.

Patrick and his team made us feel at home from the start. He was kind, attentive, and quick to respond, and Charmaine, Britney, Alex, and Cedric were just as welcoming. We spent two lovely weeks between Toad Hall and Flora House. Both places were clean and well equipped, with comfortable beds and bedding, and there was a welcome basket and chilled wine waiting for us. We'd happily recommend Squire Estate and can't wait to return.

We chose Squires Estate for our wedding because we wanted somewhere distinctive, and it turned out to be exactly what we were looking for. We married there last summer, with most of our guests staying in the other homes and villas. My husband and I hadn't been able to visit beforehand, but the staff were so helpful and dependable that we felt comfortable trusting them with everything. The team was always easy to reach, answered all our questions, and did their best to meet our requests. They were genuinely kind throughout. Squires means a lot to us now, much more than just a house or hotel, and we're already looking forward to visiting again. Thank you to everyone who helped make our wedding happen. We appreciate all your support.

The people were so welcoming, and the place itself is beautiful. We rented houses at Squires Estate for a wedding in July, and the team helped us with lots of reservations and questions, including places to eat within walking distance and local things to do. We'd definitely return for a longer stay, and next time we'd rent a car to see the whole island.
