The ocean is right outside, and whichever way you look there’s water. We loved sitting in the different lounge spots to catch the sunrise or sunset, and the waves made a steady, calming soundtrack. The decks have views on both sides of the property. For our first trip to the Bahamas, Elbow Reef was a wonderful choice. We’d heard about it through a recommendation, and the actual place looked even better than the photos. The main house feels welcoming and is tastefully decorated, while the pool is lovely and relaxing. Our rooms were comfortable and clean, with more than we expected, including shower toiletries, linens, and a useful kitchenette. Getting there was well organized. Prices felt reasonable, and the ferry and dock transportation details were clear. We felt safe and at ease wherever we went. Golf carts help if you want to see more of the island, and the ER hosts can help arrange them. The staff on site were kind and worked hard. We’d happily return and tell friends and family about it. It’s a beautiful, quiet, easygoing island break.

The staff made everything easy, from answering my safety questions before the trip to helping us arrange ferries and golf carts. Everyone we met at Elbow Reef was so kind, helpful, and quick to respond. We felt very safe on the island, and a golf cart is a must if you want to get around town and explore more. The place itself was beautiful, comfortable, and clean. We also booked a private dinner, which was incredible. I’d recommend doing that for at least one night of your stay. We’re already eager to come back. Elbow Reef was a wonderful stay, and we can’t recommend it enough.

A private ferry left us just steps from this beautiful oceanfront resort. The rooms are spread out, but still close to each other, which worked well. We had an incredible stay. If you have eight groups, I highly recommend booking the whole resort so you can pretty much have the place to yourselves.

What a lovely little hideaway, with a wonderful team, amazing views, and so much peace and quiet. Chef Simione was a great surprise too. Elbow Reef is spectacular. Absolutely yes!

There was plenty of room for our whole group of friends, and it would work just as well for a big family vacation together. We loved everything about the place, especially the helpful staff who really know how to look after guests. The shared room has a full 360-degree view of the island. Elbow Reef has a chic, open layout around the infinity pool, with a perfect look out over the Atlantic and a Scandinavian-meets-upscale-beach feel. We’ll definitely stay again.
