Bella Signature Suites

The staff were working hard, but management seemed out of their depth. I saw two servers doing their best with no bartender, then heard my server being yelled at for being off the restaurant floor while she warmed my coffee. God bless the staff. The menus were filthy and unlaminated on one visit, and another time I was handed a tacky paper menu full of staple holes. Fine-dining prices should come with a proper menu and timely cooking. I came for breakfast this time and lunch before, and the food was good, but charging $8 for regular broccoli because they didn’t have broccolini felt like complete robbery. As a restaurant owner myself, I’d call that hospitality suicide.

The food impressed me more than I expected. I liked the wings, the fettuccine was nicely presented, and the salmon came in a huge portion with good seasoning, spinach, and a sauce that paired well. My crab cake was a little charred, though it was seasoned well. The menu has plenty of variety, and the sides are large, so remember they’re a la carte. Drinks were a bit pricey but good, with plenty of wine, beer, and mixed drinks to choose from. Great service and atmosphere, too.

We gathered at the restaurant early Saturday for a women’s charity meeting. Breakfast came out promptly for all ten of us, and it was hot and delicious. We had Johnny in Paris, tuna and grits, and an omelette.

We came on Christmas Day and stayed four nights. The rooms were new and very clean, and everyone was so friendly that we felt like family. Downtown is a few kilometres away, but getting there is easy since buses come by often. We’d happily recommend Bella signature suites and will definitely return ❤️
