Sandyport Beach Resort

Restaurants just steps away made things really convenient, and the beach was a favorite. It was quiet and pristine, with plenty of room to relax and enjoy the turquoise water. Sandyport Beach Resort was peaceful, charming, and well located in Nassau. I left feeling refreshed and relaxed, and I'm already planning another visit.

The spacious, clean rooms and kitchenette made our stay easy, especially for breakfast and snacks. Everyone on staff was welcoming and went out of their way to help. Sandyport Beach Resort also feels very safe in its gated community, and Olde Towne, with its local food and coffee, is a quick walk away. The pastel villas, canal views, and colorful Caribbean village feel were a lovely change from a standard hotel room. I wanted a relaxing tropical getaway without the crowds and impersonal feel of a huge resort, and this was just right. I'll definitely return.

The location is very convenient, with a short drive from the airport and most things within walking distance. There are plenty of restaurants within five minutes on foot, and getting a dinner seat wasn't a problem. We liked the wings at twisted lime. The beach and lagoon were as expected and uncrowded, though it was 72 degrees, so that might have affected it. The grocery store is about 10-12 minutes away. Bring a bag or a way to carry your groceries. The gas station next door has a liquor store, and the AC responded quickly. My room wasn't ready when I arrived at 2:20 pm. I was told I'd get a call, but never did, so I came back around 4:15 pm and found it was ready. The internet was only 1 Mbps. I complained and got another network to try, but neither worked. I can't remember the last time I had that kind of issue, especially abroad at this price.

We picked Sandyport because we wanted a quiet place away from the busy cruise ports and tourist spots, while still being a quick drive from them if needed. There were plenty of cafes, restaurants, and bars within walking distance, and the resort felt serene. Neil, the reservation agent, helped plan our stay. When a huge snowstorm cancelled our flights, he adjusted our check-in and checkout dates without any hassle. The service was attentive when we arrived, and they surprised us with an upgrade from a Studio to the Suites. The Suites are worth it for the clean, spacious rooms, lagoon view, and walkout to the beach. Pam helped arrange everything, and Taj gave us a great tour and recommendations. MJ, if I have the name right, made our mornings at the Starfish Restaurant brighter with wonderful service. We'd love to visit again.
