We didn't stay overnight, but ate at the restaurants three times and the food was very good. Bimini is an expensive island, so you have to accept that as part of the visit. Our Airbnb checkout was at 11 and the ferry wasn't leaving until 6, so we bought a $33 day pass for the beach and pools. It was a bargain and much appreciated.

The balcony view was lovely, and there were nice views all around the resort. Our room was nice, the pool area was very pleasant, and the beach had clear water. The service was friendly and the food was good, though pricey. We enjoyed our stay.

The room was a mess from the start. The air conditioning never worked, despite two calls on the first day and another report at the front desk the next morning. Someone came once, said something was broken, and promised to return, but never did. No one showed up after the later report either. The weather was cool enough to sleep with the sliding door open, but our island view meant early mornings of loud music, lawn mowing, and other noise. There was no housekeeping during our stay: no clean towels, made beds, or trash pickup. The dark floors were filthy, with stains and sticky marks from old drinks visible in the sunlight. A white towel on the shower floor turned brown, and when my pillow fell on the floor, it picked up a moldy brown imprint. Our shoes were brown underneath when we got home, and even our socks were stained. The dirt was unacceptable. The buffet breakfast for two was $80. Omelets meant a line, and after more than ten minutes with only three guests ahead of me, nobody had been served. I gave up and took scrambled eggs, which were poor. The potatoes were decent and the grits fine, but the coffee was undrinkable. Coffee I made in the room was much better, and the same three guests were still waiting when I finished. Food across the resort was easily double or triple what you'd expect and not worth it. Service was among the worst I've experienced. For somewhere marketed as a luxury destination with premium prices, the lack of cleanliness, maintenance, organization, and basic guest care was shocking. We bought a New Year's Eve package with the ferry, transportation, hotel, buffet dinner, and party, hoping for a special celebration. Instead, the trip was stressful, disappointing, and exhausting. I wish I'd read the reviews first. I agree with the person who said, “I need a vacation from this vacation.” I wouldn't recommend the resort or its packages.

My room was fine and the staff I dealt with were all nice and professional, so I didn't have any bad experiences. Still, read up on this place before booking, because the costs and some closed amenities may come as a surprise. It feels like they cater to cruise visitors, and it wasn't crowded, which I liked. They could use some upgrades and adjustments, though. You'll pay separately for everything, and I mean everything.

The hotel room itself was nice, clean, and comfortable, and I felt safe. Most of the staff were friendly. The on-site food was about what you'd expect from a hotel chain, and probably among the safest or cleanest island options. Breakfast was adequate, and the sushi spot was good one evening, though it doesn't open until 5. Today's lunch was bad. Set your expectations around mediocre if you stay here. If I came back, it would probably only be for a day trip on the baeleria boat. The place was dead during our shoulder-season visit, which makes me wonder about the cost of keeping it running. Based on what I saw, I'm not surprised by reports of financial and legal trouble. After spending most of our last day on site, I saw more of the downsides. Employees were often standing around on their phones or chatting in groups. The adult pool had algae, and the deck was dirty from spilled drinks. It was hard to keep a drink in hand because bartenders would disappear for long stretches or get caught up talking with friends. The facility itself wasn't the main problem, it was the dismissive staff who seemed to be standing around instead of working.
