Chris is such a kind, friendly chef, and the food is some of the best on the island. We liked it even more than Tippy's. The restaurant has an incredible view, too.

The beachside setting at Unique Village is charming and peaceful, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. The room was clean and had the essentials, but it felt quite dated. We could hear the air conditioning unit, which was bothersome. Worse, the room we’d booked on the hotel website wasn’t available when we arrived, so we were put in a different, lower-grade room. During our two-night stay, we had no warm water on the second day. On departure morning, we found the patio door slightly open, although we’d checked and locked it before bed. Cash was missing from both my wife’s and my wallets, along with earphones and cards. We believe someone came into the room while we slept. When we reported it, the staff seemed overwhelmed, which made an already unsettling situation feel worse. The restaurant was very basic, with ordinary food at high prices. Between the room downgrade, cold water, theft, disappointing restaurant, and the response to our report, we left uneasy and disappointed. Despite the lovely location, we can’t confidently recommend a stay here.

We found a safe place to swim, though at low tide you have to walk quite a ways because there are lots of rocks. It was worth it to have the beach to myself, and the beach itself is gorgeous. The room was lovely, with small touches I don’t take for granted in the Bahamas, like nice beach towels, soap, a coffee maker, and a TV. The staff were friendly, too. We checked in the same day and stayed just one night, so I can’t speak to the food. It was a great stay overall.

I liked the spacious, nice room, with its coffee machine, mini fridge, cable TV, tea bags, sugar, and coffee for the percolator. The rates are reasonable, and they’re upgrading the outdoor areas, which look very tropical. The chef, whose name I don’t know, made really good appetizers, and the drinks were very good too. We also used the pool, and the ocean view from the deck was beautiful. It was my first time staying here and eating at the restaurant, and I’ll definitely be back for more lunches, appetizers, and that view.

The property looks beautiful outdoors, a 10, and the beach view and sounds were the best part. Our room was very clean, and the maid was pleasant and helpful. It was too cold to use the pool this time, so we’ll try UT on our next visit.
