We found three or four days was just right, enough time to unwind and explore without feeling stuck. The resort feels like an oasis on a still fairly undeveloped island, and its private beach has gorgeous clear blue water. Our villa was comfortable and nicely decorated, and the staff were warm, helpful, and made arranging activities easy. The Exuma Water Sports half-day tour was a trip highlight. Breakfast really ought to be included at this price, and the restaurant choices could be better. Still, with limited alternatives on Exuma, this is definitely the best place to stay.

The condos were fantastic, with two bedrooms each having their own bathroom, plus another bathroom in the living area. There’s a small washer and dryer, a Sub-Zero fridge, and a dishwasher. The two pools are beautiful, and the beach at Emerald Bay is great, with kayaks and snorkeling gear available. It’s a lovely place, though quite a distance from town, where groceries are cheaper and there’s more choice. Daily housekeeping is available, but they were happy to just leave coffee, tea, and towels when we didn’t need a full service. Staff were very nice. You can rent a golf cart, and there are a few food and drink choices on site. We’d recommend driving five minutes north to cocoplum bistro. We’d stay here again.

A good choice for couples or families. It’s peaceful, with two pools and a lovely beach where you can find some shade. There’s a poolside restaurant as well as a second, slightly nicer one. You’ll also find a gift shop, golf options, walking paths, a fitness room, and a spa. The units are comfortable and well equipped, and the employees were kind and helpful.

Carlton at the beach bar deserves a shout-out, and Shelly at the seastar spa gave us a phenomenal couples massage. The whole team treated us like royalty, from the quick food and drink service at the pool bar to the friendly welcome when we arrived exhausted after our wedding. Our villa was beside the pool and ocean, with a spectacular balcony view. We loved the beachside jerk shack chicken and mac and cheese so much we went back for more, and the piña coladas were just right with delicious rum. We came for our honeymoon and got exactly the relaxing stay we needed. We really didn’t want to leave, and were already talking about coming back. Thank you from the newlyweds, The Williams.

The clean, easy-to-reach beach and the excellent food and drinks were big pluses. Everyone we met on staff was kind and pleasant, too. It’s an amazing resort that doesn’t have that typical resort feel. We’d gladly recommend it and are looking forward to another visit.
