We came to the restaurant hoping to try the authentic Bhutanese food we’d seen praised on Facebook. The meal was very mediocre, and the signature Zoetey Ezay was far too watery. We had preordered, but still waited more than an hour after arriving at 1:13 pm. We had told them we’d get there around 1:00 pm. The dishes then came out separately instead of together. Service was very unsatisfactory: the young staff member who served us was discourteous, and when we raised the delay with the person in charge, he said we were late. After that, preordering didn’t seem to have served any practical purpose.

We’re really enjoying our stay. The hotel is beautiful, the rooms are cozy and cute, and the food is delicious. Such lovely people have been looking after us so well. 🤍

A very authentic hotel, with exceptionally nice staff. The food is home-cooked and very Bhutanese.

The rooms are wonderful, with luxurious bathrooms, and the food is decent. Service was very friendly, and there’s a spa. It’s a little outside the center of Thimpuh, which I think is a plus. If it’s your first stay, be aware the dogs bark all night, as is usual anywhere in Bhutan. They chase off bad daemons and show the souls the path. :)

The pizza is amazing, and it’s also a beautiful place to stay. They have a hotel called Thimphu Boutique Hotel that’s a must visit.
