It's clean and has a quiet feel. The staff were helpful and friendly, and I liked staying here. It isn't luxurious, but at that price I wouldn't expect it to be.

It's really cheap and a nice spot to meet other travellers, with shops and restaurants close by and a great location. The place is a bit old and has a bit of a smell.

You can walk to most places in central Gaborone from here, and shops, government offices, clinics, police, and restaurants are all nearby. Brackendene is a basic backpackers lodge with clean, tidy rooms and friendly staff. It seems suited to solo, business, or student travellers on a budget.

Most things are in order, and it's a great place to stay. I took off a star because the toilet paper is very thin and the towels are quite old. I also think the area needs fumigating to deal with crawling insects. The carports should be fixed too. IBR sheets could work better than nets and last for many decades.

You're in the heart of Gaborone, right near Main Mall, so getting around isn't much trouble. It's a small, quiet hotel with free WiFi and hot water, and it has the basics for a night or two. There's not much to do if you plan to spend the whole day there.
