The golf course and gardens were a highlight, with lovely views and grounds kept immaculate. We also found the golf community welcoming to visitors, and staff across the resort were friendly. Our large room looked straight onto the course, was well equipped, and stayed spotless with daily cleaning. Breakfast had a solid mix of cooked and continental choices, and Hole 19 served tasty food with plenty of fairly priced drinks. There’s room to improve the pool setup. It’s small, with nowhere to sit or sunbathe, and the chairs by reception facing the course don’t really work for a relaxing holiday. A lounging area like the one at The Grand Palm would add a lot. The golf clubs for hire also need an upgrade, as they weren’t good quality. We enjoyed the stay enough to add another night, and would gladly come back.

The setting was quiet, and our clean room had a lovely outlook over the golf course. Service was friendly, and breakfast was adequate. The fridge in our room never worked; we reported it, but it still wasn’t fixed during our four-night stay. Charging an extra P15 for a 500ml bottle of water seems ridiculous.

The staff were great, and the free airport shuttle was useful. There’s a decent restaurant on site, a bar open until 23:00, and reception is staffed around the clock. The resort also has a separate building for weddings, conferences, and other celebrations. Rooms are spacious and cleaned daily, and the location is good, though cabs sometimes struggle to get through the gate for pickups. They need to be much more careful with security. I was allowed to change another guest’s booking, put my name on their reservation, and alter the dates without checking with that guest. It was convenient for me, but it’s a serious security concern.

It’s in a calm, peaceful spot, and the location works really well. If you want to shop, Acacua Mall and Airport Junction are both a short drive away. The club has all the facilities you need, and other things can easily be arranged nearby.
