Sunbeam Hotel

The staff were very good, but I think management is the problem. I wouldn’t recommend staying at the sunbeam. If you do, eat every meal somewhere else. The rooms were okay, but not great for the price, and the food was terrible. Breakfast was just egg, three sausages, toast, and salt, with no bacon or pepper. There was cereal and fruit, mmmm? At supper I asked for a sandwich, and it arrived on stale bread. The coffee looked like tea. I’ve never had such bad hotel food. Even in Ethipoia the food is better. These are the worst hotels I’ve stayed in on the African continent.

I love the architecture, and it’s a wonderful place. Such a pity they’re turning it into a rehabilitation facility in a couple of months. If you’re heading to Gaborone in the next few weeks, I’d really recommend checking it out.

It has a serene feel, with comfort and elegance. A place that feels like a home away from home.

I stayed here during quarantine and the customer service was perfect. I'd recommend this place any day.
