The boat ride to Selinda Camp was scenic, and the main lodge was stunning, tastefully designed, luxurious and ideally placed in the delta. With just a few rooms, the atmosphere felt intimate. Our suites were among the best we've stayed in, spacious, elegant and beautifully decorated, and that's saying something from people who spend over 180 nights a year in hotels. The game drives were remarkable. We spent two hours alone following lionesses and their cubs. The food was exceptional, with fresh local ingredients and the quality of a fine dining restaurant. Lala and Master were warm and professional, and helped make the stay unforgettable. We also loved having professional cameras and lenses available for guests, and captured stunning photos. Selinda Camp takes luxury safari to another level. Don't miss any of it.

Selinda offers some activities you don't find everywhere: canoe safaris along the Spillway when water is high, walks with top guides, night drives on the private concession, wild dog tracking with researchers, and photography hides at water level. Great Plains funds conservation here. Helicopter flights over the Spillway are available at extra cost. For practical planning in 2025, access is fly in only to Selinda airstrip, a 45 minute light aircraft flight from Maun or Kasane. Malaria risk is moderate, so take prophylaxis. Most camps accept children aged 12 and over, while Zarafa is 14 and over. Selinda can be combined with the southern Okavango Delta or the northern Linyanti/Kwando. Professional guides and photographers consider Selinda Spillway one of Africa's top three wildlife destinations in 2025, especially for anyone hoping to see wild dogs, huge elephant herds and dramatic predator action in pristine wilderness. It has one of the continent's highest concentrations of African wild dogs, with several resident packs. Huge herds of elephants are a feature, sometimes 300-500 together. Lions, leopards, hyenas and wild dogs are constantly hunting, and the palm fringed waterway contrasts beautifully with open savanna. The area is home to the legendary Selinda Lion Pride, often 20-30 members, and the famous “Selinda Pack” of wild dogs. Want a 4 night Selinda itinerary, or to combine it with Okavango and Chobe? The staff did everything they could to make our stay special, and we look forward to another trip to Botswana and Selinda. It may be the best lodge we've ever stayed in. We had a personal game guide who fit the schedule to us, a chef making creative dishes inspired by classical cooking, and a wine cellar at our disposal.

Selina Camp was one of my favorite stops on the trip. The guides were amazing trackers, and all the staff were friendly and knew the area well. The accommodations were beautiful and comfortable, and this was the warmest tent we stayed in. We were there in late June, during the cold nights of the Botswana winter. The inner and outer flaps on the screens were up, with heavy drapes inside to keep the cold air out. We'd requested vegan and vegetarian meals for our trip and worried we might be hungry, so we brought protein bars and nuts. We never needed them. The special meals were all delicious and creative, so kudos to the Chef. This was also the only camp we stayed at with a wine cellar guests could enjoy. I highly recommend Selinda camp. You won't be disappointed.

Of the four camps I stayed at in Botswana, this one was the standout, along with just one other. I especially loved spending time with my guide Jackes. Camp Manager KP and her team gave fantastic service, and the camp by the Selinda Spillway is wonderful.
