It's tucked away outside town, so the place is really quiet. The food took a while, but apart from that I had no complaints.

We ended up staying somewhere else after nobody answered our calls. We'd confirmed a Booking.com reservation for a funeral in Selebi-Phikwe, although we hadn't paid yet, and tried Phokoje Bush Lodge several times that day using the number on Google. It just rang. When people are travelling for something important, a business needs to be reachable. This was very disappointing, and Phokoje Bush Lodge needs to fix its communication and Booking.com setup so it doesn't waste people's time.

The restaurant's burgers were fantastic, and the pool was sparkling. The air-conditioned rooms had enough of what we needed for an overnight stop. We mentioned a few small problems at reception and they were sorted out promptly.

The bar food was very good and affordable, and the staff gave us great service. It's a clean, peaceful and safe place in a good location. We really enjoyed the camping and lodging, and will be back soon.

I used to make a point of booking here because it was a lovely place to stay. This time, after our long journey, we checked in at 4 and found no toilet paper or soap in the room. The kitchen also had very few basic things available. I'm not sure what's changed with management, but for now I'd avoid staying here. I was extremely disappointed.
