Grad Hotel

Everything looked brand new, and the place was very clean.

It was good value, even without breakfast, and a decent stop to get some rest before crossing the border. This seems to be the only hotel near the Belarus-Lithuania border. I stayed one night and took the only room available, luckily there was one. From what I could tell, it was a children's room. The place seems family-oriented, with a kitchen and shared areas.

Housekeeping deserves special thanks, the room was spotless and neat. The staff were friendly without getting in the way. The hotel was warm, cozy, and clean, right in the center, with parking. The windows kept out the morning traffic noise. We stayed over the weekend and could hear bells from a nearby church. Thanks to everyone for the work and hospitality. I highly recommend it.

We wanted to get out of there as soon as we could. The neighbors were yelling at 7 a.m., and we could hear every bit of it. The road noise was intense, service and communication were basic at best, and when we checked in they tried to charge us more because the prices had changed. Also, a hot radiator in mid-August? Really? I didn't even feel like looking for anything positive.
