Venin Hotel

The staff were attentive and responsive. They quickly replaced our towels and brought a remote for the air conditioner when we asked. The bed was comfortable, though the room itself wasn't. Smoking in rooms should be prohibited, and the rooms need better cleaning and ventilation.

I haven't stayed at the hotel, so this is just about the bar. It's dark, but cozy enough, and the food tastes good without being anything special. Skip the shashlik, it was undercooked. The waiter's nails were longer than Dracula's, and the bartender wasn't good. It's practically self-service. I didn't mind, but if you expect good service, this isn't the place.

The staff were the one good part of our stay. The restaurant is in the basement, and its poorly designed ventilation lets the smell of burnt oil spread through the whole hotel. We were on the third floor, but our room smelled like something was frying next door. The bathroom is another problem. There's a 20-centimeter step up, so going in feels like walking onto a catwalk. It's very dangerous.

The room was VERY nice, clean, and quiet, and breakfast was delicious and brought to the room. We only needed one more blanket: they provide one per bed for two people, but a European standard blanket, two blankets, is needed. Otherwise, EXCELLENT. This was our second stay. The first time we arrived during the day and found the place easily. We came in the evening the second time, in the dark, and got a little lost even though it was close by.
