The room was clean, with just the basics: a bed, bedside table, desk, chair, wardrobe, and a sink with a mirror. The bedding was clean too, but the room felt cold, and even with the radiators turned all the way up they were only lukewarm. The walls are paper thin, so you can hear everything. My neighbor’s snoring kept me awake, and conversations or things being dropped at night would be just as distracting. The shower and toilet are shared down the corridor, like in a dorm, and there’s no breakfast. At least there’s a shop nearby, though getting there meant crossing the road and walking around a train on wet grass, which wasn’t much fun. You have to pay extra for a TV, but it doesn’t get TV channels. There isn’t even an antenna cable, just preinstalled internet apps, so you can skip it. It’s cheap, but this bare minimum shouldn’t cost more. Basically, a one-star dorm for a night.

We slept wonderfully here, and the place is new, modern, and set in the woods. For the price, it was a real wow. I’m glad I spotted it on the map and we took the chance on driving a little way off the highway instead of going to Orsha. It’s a handy, inexpensive, comfortable overnight stop for tour groups, and could work well for business trips or a quiet break, depending on what you’re after. It’s not an agrotourism farmstead for a full-on relaxing getaway, but it was still a good fit for our kind of trip. Our room had two beds, a sink, a little kitchen corner, and a microwave. The shower and toilet were on the floor, though the hotel was nearly empty, so that didn’t bother us. There’s a shop nearby and some kind of cafe. They said they planned to start serving breakfasts with pancakes and syrniki in two weeks. In the morning we found out they also have single rooms with private facilities.

The staff were great, and the hotel was excellent. The rooms were clean, cozy, and really comfortable.
