The staff were friendly, helpful, and the service was good. Getting around Brest was easy too, since the metro bus stop is right by the hotel. One ride costs about .60 BYR, which is very cheap. Our room for two cost around $30 a night, though the food was expensive. The room felt a bit cramped, with just one window for ventilation and no air conditioning or fan. It wasn't very hot, but we still had to leave the window open at night and mosquitoes came in. The walls were thin enough that we could hear people in the next room talking or having sex. Even so, I had a fantastic stay. Lovely people and a beautiful country. Learn a few usable Russian phrases before coming, because nobody speaks English here.

The hotel looks almost just like Hotel Pechenga in Zapolyarny Russia, both from outside and inside. It's a little away from the centre, but that didn't bother me. The staff worked hard to make me comfortable and helped me a lot when I was taking part in Brest Halfmarathon 8 September. My room wasn't ready when I arrived in the morning, which I hadn't expected it to be, and they gave me coffee and a freshly baked croissant. The restaurant was cool too. The staff's English wasn't great, but they managed in German, so it was no problem. I'd choose this hotel again if I come back.
