8/10
The beds were comfortable, the little kitchen areas felt cozy, and check-in was quick and pleasant, even late at night. It’s an economy-class hostel, so the decor is more modest than in some places, but everything was fine. I’d booked through booking.com, and they were expecting me when I arrived. I only stay in hostels briefly, so I didn’t even notice whether there was a TV or other entertainment. By morning, I was ready to hit the road again.

The entrance is awkward, though the place is clean and the beds are new. We booked 13 beds, but only 12 were available when we arrived, so our reservation had been given to someone else. We decided to use somebody else’s reservation. In the eight-person room, there are only 4 outlets. That’s about it for the positives.

You can cook your own meals here, which is handy when visiting with family. There’s a kitchen, refrigerator, TV, and showers, and everything was neat. Check-in was quick, the facilities were great, and the prices are a pleasant surprise. A great place for visitors to Brest!
