It’s a nice hotel.

The service staff were polite, but they couldn’t do anything to fix the heating. In winter, my room was stifling, with the radiators running too hot and no valves or other way to adjust them. We checked other rooms with a staff member and found the same problem throughout the hotel. Reception said a plumber or specialist couldn’t come at night because the hotel is in the woods, so nobody would arrive before morning. Opening the window was the only option. That left me choosing between staying in a room over 25 degrees Celsius or sleeping with the window open in -20°C weather and risking getting sick. For a paid stay, that’s an unacceptable situation. The hotel seemed unprepared for the heating season, and its management system felt dysfunctional. If you don’t handle heat well or are traveling with children, you could be physically distressed. Management urgently needs to install thermostats and give staff instructions for situations like this.

The trails were lovely, the nature was beautiful, and there were museums nearby. I’d have liked it to be easier to find dates and announcements for the programs and tours. The excursions with Viktor Gennadievich Rovdo were brilliant, really interesting and captivating. We stayed February 24-25, 2024, for our second visit and loved it. The room was spotless and tidy, with good, well-made furniture and air conditioning. The food was simple, delicious, and plentiful, and the staff were friendly. If the receptionist didn’t know an answer, they’d call to find out. It all felt very warm. Thank you for your work.

We stayed in December with our five-year-old child, and had no trouble with the food. It was good, the prices were reasonable, and the staff were helpful. The room was clean and still fresh, and we’d booked a deluxe room. It was cozy and quiet, with lovely air, and even in winter it was nice to walk in the forest. A kettle and a couple of cups would’ve been handy since we’re used to having them, and maybe a hairdryer too, but those are small things. We liked everything and recommend it.
