Usad'ba Ochag

We've returned to the Ochag estate every year for six years, except for the two years we missed because of coronavirus, and we've never regretted it. We first chose it the day before a family holiday, after deciding on Belarus and finding Glubokoe on the map. The owners, Sergei Mikhailovich and Tamara Konstantinovna, were friendly and eager to show us their town. The estate is a leisurely 20-minute walk from the center, and it's wonderfully peaceful, with a bathhouse, gazebo, and barbecue. Rooms are clean and comfortable, with everything needed. You can really rest body and soul here. I'd recommend both the town and the estate.

We went for 2.5 days to see the cherry fest and had a lovely, relaxing time. We also went for a swim in the lake, which was great. The estate isn't in the center, so keep that in mind if you like to walk or drive. There weren't many people around. Our first-floor room felt homey and had two separate beds, a table and chairs, a large TV with 8 channels that we didn't watch, and Wi-Fi. The hostess had thought of all the kitchen details too, including a kitchen, microwave, kettle, refrigerator, and small utensils. There was a separate exit and a spot with a garden bench, maybe covered in grape vines. Very cozy. A bathhouse is available. Thanks to Tamara for the warmth and hospitality!

It's a good place to unwind and spend the night, with a nearly home-like feel. There are slippers, a shared kitchen, a fridge, and a few neighbors. You can ask for breakfast if you need it, and the price is excellent for what you get. The only drawback for TV watchers is that just a few standard channels come through.

We came for a weekend away from all the noise and loved the welcoming staff, comfortable rooms, and cozy atmosphere. We'll stay longer next time. Highly recommended!
