Bricks Apartments

We were in town for our daughter's competition and stayed one night. The apartment was quiet despite being central, with a short walk to Sovetskaya Street and, the other way, the ice palace. Grodno itself seemed very quiet too. Inside, it was cozy and neat, with a nice renovation and everything we needed: towels, bedding, a hairdryer, shower gel and shampoo, separate baby soap, cotton pads, tea, coffee and seasonings. They'd even left juice for the kids after we mentioned we were travelling with children. The host was pleasant and easy to reach. Getting and returning the keys was simple and caused no extra hassle. We really liked our stay and recommend it.

The modern interior and great location were the good parts. But the apartment was cold, especially with it on the first floor and the floor so chilly. The owner hadn't warned us. At our request he brought a fan heater, but it wasn't enough for two rooms, so we asked again. He brought an oil heater and took away the small one. We only had one pair of reusable slippers, and when we asked for another, they brought a pair with holes, Grandma's slippers. That's embarrassing to give guests. The owner arrived at 10 PM without telling us first, and kept wondering why we were cold. Everyone's different, but he was impenetrable. When we tried to make dinner, the frying pan was dirty, so we had to use a grill pan. On the last day, the shower hose burst because of the water pressure, but afterwards we were accused of breaking the shower. The worst part was the owner's complete lack of hospitality. We were paying customers and expected our requests to be heard, but apparently “sorry, we'll take it into account” isn't in his vocabulary. After I left a review, he sent accusations in private messages. I don't recommend this place. P.S. Please throw away the tomato paste in the fridge. It has mold inside. No thanks! P.P.S. At checkout, the owner said that if we weren't going to rate our stay 10 out of 10, we shouldn't write a review. I thought he was joking, but he wasn't. No comment.
