Kobvar Hotel

Katashi, one of Belarus' most beautiful lakes, is close by. The hotel itself sits back from the road, so it's quiet and peaceful. The rooms are clean and cozy, and the staff are welcoming. Prices are quite reasonable. There's a barbecue and firewood in the courtyard, plus a café with live music. Free Wi-Fi too. I'd recommend it to discerning travelers, especially for the wonderful staff.

My husband and I travel around Belarus for cargo work, so we've stayed in plenty of places. We paid $13 for two here and got a clean room with a shower, refrigerator, microwave, electric kettle, hot water, and heating. The furniture isn't new and the decor isn't especially modern, sure. But if you expect everything to be like a Hilton, go to the Hilton, where the prices are completely different. For an inexpensive overnight stop, this hotel or motel is a good fit for cargo haulers and other travelers. It has what you need for one night, and the staff greet you warmly, politely, and attentively without being intrusive. Thanks for having us, we'll come back. I'm writing this in the hotel's defense, and I'm neither related to nor friends with the owners. I've seen plenty of accommodations while traveling, and if anyone's interested, I've saved places under "Cheap Accommodations" in my profile. Some customers just want a lot of service without paying much, and I disagree with many of the comments here.

Everything was tasty at the local cafe, though some dishes took a little wait because they were made fresh. Definitely try the draniki, the potato pancakes were delicious. Four of us ate for 600 Russian rubles. We arrived after crossing the Poland-Belarus border and checked in around 3 a.m., without a reservation, and they had a room ready right away. After sleeping, we walked around the grounds in the morning. The cafe is open from 8 a.m. to 6 a.m. The place is clean and tidy, and while nothing is brand new, it's not junk either. For the money, you get everything you could want and friendly staff.

A quiet, calm place to stay overnight, with parking for your car. In the room there were two sofas for sleeping, a wardrobe, table, and two chairs, as well as a refrigerator, microwave, kettle, and dishes. The bath and toilet were in the room. As of September 2017, it cost 30 Belarusian rubles, much less than places in Kobrin and Brest. I'd recommend it.
