Dom Otdykha Logoyskiy Recreation camp

The place itself is lovely and thoughtfully designed, but the service was very poor. We came for a weekend and were met with no service at all. The rooms smelled strongly of sewage. In the restroom shared by five beds, there was just one roll of toilet paper, and none was provided during our three-day stay. There wasn’t any to buy on site either, so we would have had to go to the store in Logoisk. I’ve never encountered that anywhere. We also booked the hammam for three hours starting at 3 PM. At the scheduled time, it was only 17°C. We were told we could go in and enjoy the steam once it felt comfortable, but it took until about 6 PM to warm up. The arguing and waiting while we tried to get it heated spoiled the mood.

The rooms and grounds looked beautiful, and the spa was great once it was available. Still, I wouldn’t personally return. We had chosen the place because we wanted somewhere without restrictions on bringing our dog. At first we were told he could go everywhere, including the restaurant, and that arrangement held for two days. Then a new manager, a young woman, told us to leave the restaurant and come back without him. We’d agreed on this from the beginning, so the change made no sense to us. The beach wasn’t to my taste, and there was no cleaning or trash removal service. The spa was closed for the first two days, and the children’s rope course was closed too.

The grounds were a big hit with our child: there’s a large playground, a beach, and sand that feels like a resort. We spent Friday to Sunday at Logoisky as a family of two adults and one child. Friends had talked it up, and we were impressed too. The rooms were clean and comfortable, with everything we needed, and the modern grounds were very well cared for. We liked the food as well. The menu is small, but there’s enough to eat and the prices are budget-friendly. We hadn’t realized there were barbecue facilities, so we didn’t get to use them this time. We’ll come back and barbecue next visit.

There’s a small lake and a beach, and we rented a boat for 10 rubles an hour. The tennis court has artificial grass and costs 30 rubles an hour. Kids have a play area and their own menu. Set in the forest, the place has lovely fresh air and comfortable, clean cabins. The restaurant food was delicious and reasonably priced. A great spot for a family break, and so peaceful!
