Hostel H.O.

The staff were welcoming and always smiling. The place was clean and good.

The only good thing is being close to the sights. Staff curse at guests where everyone can hear, for no reason I can understand. The walls feel like cardboard, the kitchen is filthy and unsettling to touch, and the bathrooms and showers are covered in mold and mildew. Beds creak, and the broken bunks make it feel like the person above could fall on you. If you don't want your vacation spoiled, stay somewhere else.

I stayed one night in dormitory bed #5. It was quiet and clean, and the welcome was friendly. The tourist area and pedestrian streets made the place easy to find. The dorm has 10 beds, four pairs of bunks and two singles. I had a single, but otherwise the beds are packed too close together. There are no blackout curtains or closets, and the showers and toilets are basic.

The receptionist at the front desk was rude, and the rules seemed to depend on which administrator was working. When I asked for hot water, I was told the SENIOR administrator banned kettles and that the earlier administrators had been too nice to guests and clients.
