Colinda Cabanas

This was our second visit to Colinda Cabanas, and our four nights were just as perfect as before. We especially like the easy beach and dock access. From Beach Front #1 we had a lovely sea view, and spent lots of time on the veranda, hammock and all. The staff are really helpful and keep us informed about what's happening on Caye Caulker. Emilita arranged our dinner reservations and an in-room couples massage. It's in a quieter part of the island, which suits us, while still being an easy walk to most restaurants, vendors, and bars. This will always be our first choice when we're here.

I booked Colinda’s on a last-minute trip to Belize because the price was good and the cabanas looked cute. It worked out well. They're easy to reach, right by the water, and the staff and host were very friendly and extremely helpful. The island is small, so being a bit out of the way wasn't a problem. I went solo and chose a cheaper cabana without AC; the fans kept me comfortable. #8 had a microwave, a small fridge, and a few dishes, including plates, cups, and utensils. There are bicycles to use, and you can easily swim straight off the beach. During high season there's a small cafe. I had breakfast, coffee, and fresh fruit there on a couple of days. I'd recommend Colinda’s and plan to return next year.

There's a quiet, laid-back feel here, with the village nearby and the ocean just 50 meters from my door. Colinda Cabanas seems like an ideal guest cabin for a short stay on Caye Caulker. I only gave the room four stars because there's not much storage for clothes and other things. Still, it's a great place.

The cabanas are cute and simple, clean, and have a comfortable bed. It's about a 15-minute walk to the water taxi. They lent us a couple of bikes, and the staff were friendly and helpful. I'd stay here again if I came back to the area.
