Sunshine View Hotel

I gave the restaurant another try, but the pool was closed and nobody knew why. There was hair in the food, and another person at my table was served milk that had separated and gone bad. On an earlier visit, I had to ask more than once for items on the menu. The managers and owners don’t walk around the property. Maybe then they’d notice the old garbage lying around, or maybe they’re fine with it.

We had a great stay in a clean, spacious bungalow with lovely views. The bed was comfortable, the shower was good, and the people were helpful and friendly.

I used to come here often, but service has fallen from a solid 8 to barely a two in just the past few months. The restaurant was no more than half full, yet we waited over 30 minutes. The staff spent more time chatting with each other than serving guests. I won’t be going back.

The pool was the reason we chose this place, so finding it closed after we’d hauled all our things to the room, put on our suits, and headed over to rest and relax was a huge disappointment. We asked where the beach was and were told there wasn’t one, but that we could walk a mile or two to the public beach. We asked them to bring a couple of cold beers by the defunct pool instead, and they said no, drinks weren’t allowed there, defunct pool or not. We got them to wake the owner, who was asleep in a recliner in the exercise area, so we could get our money back. Then we repacked and blew out of that joint. One star is too much! 😢
