Royal Belize, a Muy'Ono Resort

The staff are what made Royal Belize unforgettable. You can tell how much they care about their work, and by the end they felt like family. We were sad to leave, and I’d go back in an instant. If you get the chance, I’d absolutely recommend visiting. The island itself is gorgeous, ringed by the bluest water, and there’s lots to do. Our group had a blast with jet skis, sunset boat rides, fishing and snorkeling. Even arriving set the mood: we stepped off the boat and were welcomed with coconut drinks. It’s a special trip, one for the bucket list.

The private chef made every meal a treat, using fresh local ingredients and adapting dishes to our tastes and dietary needs. We had four-course meals and snacks between them, so nobody went hungry. Eating by the sea at sunset was unforgettable. Oscar, our concierge, made the whole stay feel personal, anticipating what we needed, arranging island activities and even serving exotic drinks in the ocean. His warmth and professionalism stood out. I celebrated my 40th birthday with close friends and family at The Royal Belize, and it felt like a dream. We arrived in its tiny puddle jumper, and the island’s beauty and attention to detail made its 5-star status feel deserved. All the staff were kind and helpful. The accommodations were immaculate, comfortable and in harmony with the natural setting. Waking to the waves and sunrise over the ocean was magical. Clear water and unique sea-creatures made the island feel peaceful and far away from everything. The chef, concierge service and setting combined for a once-in-a-lifetime birthday trip we’ll always treasure. For luxury, privacy and personal service in a tropical paradise, The Royal Belize is hard to beat.

We went out deep-sea fishing, and it was outstanding. Royal Belize has lots of excursions to help you enjoy Belize’s outdoor activities, though you can also just rest and recharge. My husband and I joined friends for four days on our own private island, and it was the experience of a lifetime. There were eleven adults and two small children in our group, with easily over 10 staff always on hand. The service was incredible, the accommodations were gorgeous and the meals exceptional. The group dining setting was fantastic, and the place is set up well for friends, business associates or a large extended family. We can’t recommend it enough.

The staff make you feel like family, and between the food, rooms and starlit sky, this place has been special to me since my first stay. The island sunsets and sunrises are stunning, but there’s so much good food and so many lovely moments to enjoy together too. I’m excited to come back soon.
