We picked the Sun Villa for our family and found it cozy, with plenty of room for us. The resort itself is beautiful, tucked away in the jungle, and the staff were outgoing and easy to be around. Fred took care of everything we needed. We also went on one of the zip line tours and really recommend it. The guides knew a lot about the local plants, trees, and wildlife, and helped us feel comfortable the whole time. Make sure you try the jungle swing, it was a real thrill. We’d looked up the location and knew about the dirt roads, and honestly they weren't too bad. You do need a 4x4 SUV, though. Our rental was awful, so I’d expected the drive to be much worse.

The chicken burritos and chicken nachos were delicious at lunch. We were there for the kids’ first ziplining trip, and Alfred and Dwight were great with both the adults and the kids, ages 7 and 9. They put safety first and gave us top notch service.

We didn't stay at Calico Jacks, just came for the zip line tour, but it was amazing. The Extreme tour with Dwight and Alfred felt very safe, with high grade equipment and braking systems used throughout. They were friendly, professional, and knew their stuff. I really liked how the activity mixed zip lines with a walk through the beautiful forest, which they clearly respect and honor, as well as a cable walk and propelling. It's a great outdoor activity and very fairly priced. Highly recommend.

Alfred, Julio, Dwight, and the rest of the crew made our day. The guides were funny and helpful, and knew a lot. We had such a delightful time zip lining.

It's definitely a bumpy drive to get here, with a rutted dirt road, so be ready for that. Still worth it, and we had a nice lunch at the restaurant afterward. The local guides gave great service, and the family had a great time trying ziplining for the first time. We took the intermediate course and had so much fun.
