Anne and Gary put years of hard work into creating this lovely, ecologically special little haven. They're down-to-earth hosts and very accommodating. The grounds have wonderfully natural landscaping, and the property feels peaceful while still being an easy bike ride from town. Anne is a terrific cook if you want to eat there. My partner and I stayed five days in January 2016, far too short a visit. We're sad we can't return this winter, and I hope we can make it back sooner rather than later!

Anne, I'm really disappointed by how you handled this whole issue. You asked me to contact you directly instead of through VRBO, which should have been a red flag. Now I have no third-party protection or paper trail since everything was handled by phone. I gave you my credit card, and you gave me a receipt showing payment. It appeared to charge for every room for one day; you said that was the only way you could make the receipt, and I accepted that because I had paid half the cost. You knew I'd booked well in advance for a special family vacation for my 60th birthday. You only got in touch after I contacted you, and it seemed you'd forgotten the reservation and our conversation. Then you wanted double the agreed amount. Now you're also saying we can't use the kitchen, even though you'd assured me we could. I have no reservation and have to scramble to find somewhere for 11 people in the final few weeks. I can't stay with you because I don't trust you.

Gary and Ann are very down-to-earth people, and our stay at Miller's Landing was great. There were 11 of us, so we had the whole place to ourselves, and nobody had any complaints. I'd recommend it to everyone.

The place itself is nice, though the rooms are quite dusty. Breakfast was okay, but very basic.
