Bijblauw Hotel

Kim, who works here, surprised us with a homemade Johnny cake, and it was absolutely delicious and such a thoughtful gesture. We also celebrated our birthday during the stay, and the staff went the extra mile to make it special. We felt very welcome and cared for. The hotel was perfect, with a great location and excellent service. The staff were extremely kind, attentive, and genuinely helpful. I can wholeheartedly recommend it, and we'll definitely choose it again when we return.

We didn't stay here, just came in to enjoy the waterside bar. The channel view was great, but service was extremely slow despite only five tables being occupied. We stopped at the bar to ask whether we should wait or could sit, and I was told we could sit anywhere and our server would help. After 30 minutes, I went over to the bar and asked for a glass of chardonnay, some water, and a beer. Another 20 minutes passed before the server came with just a glass of wine and one water. The staff could use some help. Kome is very good, as are the Avila restaurants.

Staff were friendly and helpful, and the view was nice. The location is good, close to restaurants. The rooms are spacious with a big bed, but a little dirty. Just look at the ceiling fan, there was so much dust that I was afraid to turn it on. The on-site restaurant is very expensive, with breakfast around 18 USD per person.

We had dinner at sunset in a welcoming, easygoing atmosphere, and the food was amazing. My husband had the mahi mahi, while I chose the chef's special, steak with hollandaise. Both were perfect and delicious. Our server, Jolijn, was attentive, informative, and delightful. A wonderful dinner out.
