The location and parking were good, and the bed was decent, but the stay was terrible. We waited 10 mins for the owner to arrive. He was chatty and somewhat friendly, then told us we’d paid an extremely high price because his minimum stay was 4 nights and we’d booked only 2, so we were charged for 4. He made fun of our mistake, which made us feel stupid, though we didn’t dispute a cent. Since he’d doubled his earnings, we hoped he might offer even a small complimentary amenity. He didn’t. The room also bore no resemblance to the booking.com listing photos and had no amenities, not even shower soap. When we asked the cleaning lady, she said we’d have to buy our own soap. Our room was beside the kitchen, where some ladies chatted and smoked cigarettes night and day. The toilet was installed so high off the ground that we had to put our feet on the trash can to sit down and take a deuce. We’re never coming back, and we don’t recommend staying here.

The room and kitchen were okay, but there was no toilet downstairs, and we had a really bad experience with the owner Magdy. We wanted to book an external tour through him and didn’t have cash. He said we could pay the cash deposit by Sunday, then suddenly asked for it on Saturday and said he’d cancel the tour if we didn’t pay by Saturday night. He got really rude. We went to the ATM, saw there was a fee, and decided to book directly with the tour agency, where we could pay online. He then threatened that he had the power to put us on the street. After that insulting message, I wouldn’t recommend staying there, even if the room and kitchen were okay.

Bedbugs in the room, a dirty kitchen and pool, and a very rude owner who refused to refund me after I found the bugs. This hotel was horrible, and should be closed down immediately!

A clean, nice place to stay, with friendly people and a very nice owner. I’d read complaints about saving electricity by turning off the A/C when leaving the room, and about not throwing paper into the toilet. I found the owner completely reasonable, and following those rules isn’t a big deal. RECOMENDED.
